At South Axholme Academy we believe that it is important to balance classroom learning within the curriculum against opportunities to explore new interests and gain new skills through a rich and varied programme of extracurricular activities, trips and visits.
We offer a wide range of activities and encourage all students to participate in something and to make the most of new challenges and experiences on offer. By taking part in clubs and activities, students develop an array of skills including confidence, teamwork, resilience, coordination, imagination, focus, creativity and determination. All of these attributes contribute to supporting students develop in to successful, well rounded individuals not only whilst at the academy, but also in later life.

South Axholme also provides opportunities for its students to gain the Duke of Edinburgh Award in conjunction with the Youth Pursuits Organisation. Each Wednesday evening between 5pm and 6pm students can work toward their bronze, silver or gold award at Epworth Youth Centre.
