The publication of DfE schools performance tables earlier in the week, gave rise to great celebration at Isle Education Trust after South Axholme Academy showed once again that it is a first class academy; results from summer 2018 put South Axholme top of all schools in North Lincolnshire, Doncaster and Gainsborough and 8th nationally compared with similar schools.
Sarah Sprack, Principal of South Axholme and CEO of Isle Education Trust said “Words can’t describe how very, very proud I am of every single staff member at IET and of students. South Axholme’s latest results are the fruit of an exceptional group of people, working relentlessly to provide the very best experiences and education for our students. Collaboration of South Axholme staff with colleagues at Epworth Primary and Coritani Academy, utilising the expertise of all staff in the Trust have enabled South Axholme to yet again support students in achieving phenomenal outcomes. Our Progress 8 score of 0.6 at GCSE and our A level value added score of 0.27 makes us the envy of schools and academies for miles and miles around”
Paul Barratt, Chair of Directors of IET added “The ethos of the Trust is all about recognising the needs of every individual student. All staff at South Axholme go the extra mile every day to support students in being successful. Results like we have achieved over consecutive years only happen when this ethos is truly shared and believed by all concerned. It’s amazing what has been achieved again.”
